The Thermo 15CHL should be used by experienced stack testers only. When moisture is removed from the gas sample, there is a tendency to lose HCl due to its high solubility in water. Clean Air has had success using a permeation dryer with a heated pump in correct applications with this instrument. Dilution is also an option. A traditional gas conditioning system cannot be used. To help prevent cell corrosion, please purge with nitrogen after each use.
